openEyA v3.0 with Editor for video, audio and slides!

We are glad to announce the latest release of openEyA version 3.0 (Myrmex) with added support for the afterward editing of video, audio and slides (the later from a remotely controlled digital camera or VGA screen capture).

With openEyA, automated digital photo shots, or screen captures, can be done on a single low-cost netbook as well as audio/video recording, processing, delivery and afterward editing –all with just one click!

The automated and editable syncronized recordings can be easily embeeded in any e-learning content management systems.

openEyA version 3.0 (Myrmex) is available for free as an easy-to-install Ubuntu package. This version

  • editor for video, audio and photos,
  • new implementation of processing,
  • improved midnight check algorithm,
  • some minor bugs removed,
  • added directories for backup and checkboxes.

Info: openEyA integrates different technologies under Linux Ubuntu 9.10 and 32 bits machines like low-cost Netbooks to synchronize:

  • (i) video in Flash format,
  • (ii) high resolution slides (to zoom specific areas of a blackboard or a projector screen) and
  • (iii) classroom audio (without the need to wear a microphone).
