openEyA is the Linux-based alternative to the automated EyA recording system also developed by the Science Dissemination Unit (SDU).

The Science Dissemination Unit (SDU) of the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) is a concrete example of helping to bridge the digital and knowledge divide in developing countries and across the north-south divide, in terms of applying low-cost open source information and communication technologies for the dissemination, support and internalization of science.

Credits

openEyA is being developed by the SDU Team: E. Canessa, C. Fonda and M. Zennaro, in collaboration with L. Tenze (University of Trieste). It derives from early discussions during the 2007 ICTP-SDU Workshop on Rich Media Webcasting Technologies and from the ICTP Diploma Course on-line.
